How much is a cremation service in Evansville?
At Sunset Funeral Home, Cremation Center & Cemetery, we believe that families should not have to waste time calling local funeral homes just to get their current price for cremation.
To save you time, we called for you and the current prices are published below.
Most of the families we serve also want the opportunity to see their loved one before they are cremated. The prices below include this option.
Also, the quality and reputation of the service provider matters. That is why we only included companies with a Google rating of at least 4.0
Alexander Funeral Home- $3,670
Browning Funeral Home – $3,615
Pierre Funeral Home – $2,795
Ziemer Funeral Home – $2,690
Boone Funeral Home – $2,605
Sunset Funeral Home, Cremation Center & Cemetery – $2,338
Some families need the absolute lowest price. In those cases, we recommend contacting the Indiana University School of Medicine. They have a free body donation program that might be able to assist.
The price for cremation is important, but is that the only thing to consider? No.
If you call any funeral home or cremation company serving Evansville, here are six topics you should discuss with them:
1. Location Matters: Where will your loved one be kept before the cremation? Can you visit the facility?
2. Saying Goodbye: Is it possible for family members to view the deceased before the cremation? Are there additional costs? Where will it take place?
3. Security & Assurance: How can they ensure that the cremated remains you receive are those of your loved one?
4. Additional Support: Will the cremation provider help with things like Veterans benefits, Medicaid, and life insurance?
5. Final Resting Place: Many families struggle to know what to do with urns as generations pass away. Does the cremation provider have an final resting place option or at least some guidance?
6. Price Matching: Does the cremation service match prices from other providers in the area?
At Sunset, we’re always ready to answer these questions, and our commitment to you is that we’ll always match the lowest price in the area.
We understand that this is a challenging time. Our team is available to guide you through the process.
